By Interviewer at 05/28/08 09:04
Name of your website?

myjobengine.com

Your name?

Bob

Your Location (city, etc)

Kennesaw, GA

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Employmentbranding.com is a career site designed specifically for experienced professionals. Industry leading candidates that are seeking careers in organizations that have been recognized for leadership, culture, and best practices.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Frustration with job board aggregators. They all pull from the same places and have the same results. They miss a lot of available job opportunities because of the way they aggregate.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

A few years ago. Myjobengine.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It's based on buzz words in this particular industry

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We are the largest "employer direct" job resource on the internet. We represent industry-leading corporations and ALL of their employment opportunities...Candidates can interact with corporate recruiters via our live chat rooms and get valuable information about a company's culture and goals.

Candidates apply direct. They know exactly where and to whom their resume is being sent. Employmentbranding.com represents "The Hidden Job Market". Over 80% of the jobs found on ou site can not be found on any traditional job boards or network site.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To make my company an industry leader

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Too new to have an opinion

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would add key features that are just idea's right now.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Internet advertising is condusive to the big companies. Small players do not have an opportunity to advertise mass due to budget limitations

What has been your biggest challenge?

Internet advertising...getting the word out to the mass

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Right now it's been to early to tell. Viral marketing seems to be working

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

We are on goal

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

A few years. Until I believe the idea is dead or we become successful and I want to sell the business

What is your website address?

myjobengine.com
